DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — It took a little longer than yesterday, but storms have finally entered the Wiregrass. This line will stick around for the next couple hours for the eastern half of the Wiregrass, but some lingering showers could stick around through the overnight hours.
Thursday will be much like today with temperatures close to 90 degrees and a 50% chance for rain. Friday will be another day with that 50% chance for showers and storms, but it will be the first day this week with temperatures above our seasonal average of 92.
Once we get to the weekend, we’ll reduce that rain chance to isolated storms and increase our high temperatures to 95 both days. Those “feels like temperatures” will easily be over 100 degrees and could climb to 105 or more. Remember to stay hydrated during any outdoor activities!
Our temperatures next week will stay in the low-to-mid 90s as we reinstate storm chances during the first half of the week.
