WDHN Storm Team: Low-end rain chances return this weekend

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — What a beautiful day it has been! Football games tonight will go off without any problems from the weather. Overnight temperatures will be warmer than last night with middle 60s expected.

This weekend will be primarily dry, but a few spotty showers will be possible. There’s a 20% chance for rain both Saturday and Sunday. The most likely time for rain is during the late afternoon and evening hours. Temperatures will jump into the upper 80s, and dew points will still be low enough for folks to consider it a fairly comfortable day outside.

Monday will be partly sunny with a continued 20% chance for rain. Lows will start off in the upper 60s on Monday and for much of the week. Highs on Monday will be in the upper 80s.

Tuesday-Thursday are our most likely days for rain. Currently, the models are split on what will happen concerning rain chances, so we’ll split the difference at 30% each day. We’ll know more this weekend and Monday to finalize that mid-week forecast. Temperatures will be in the middle 80s considering the additional rain chances and cloud cover.

Friday still has that low-end chance for rain at 20%, but temperatures will likely be back to about 90 degrees.
