DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — As a cold front moves through the southeast, cooler and drier air will be moving in. Humidity levels will be relatively low for this time of year. As a result, conditions will feel a little more comfortable. Rain chances will also be pretty low for Wednesday and Thursday.
By this weekend, rain and storm chances will be on the increase again. Saturday is looking to be the wetter of the weekend days. Storm chances will be staying into next week, but they will be a little lower than for the weekend.
In the tropics, tropical depression three has weakened into a open tropical wave. At this time, further development from that system is not expected. However, there is a low chance that the cold front that brought heavy rain to the Wiregrass Tuesday could develop into something organized. It appears that the front will be stalling out as it moves off the coast. Right now, the National Hurricane Center is giving the area a 20% chances of being a tropical depression of tropical storm in the next five days.
