WDHN Storm Team: Mainly dry for now; rain this weekend

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Tonight will be just as dry as most of us have been all day long. We’ll drop into the low 70s or upper 60s with a chance for some patchy fog.

Thursday and Friday have a chance for a couple isolated showers, but not much more than that! The best chance for rain is in Pike and Barbour counties tomorrow, but a few showers will be possible for the rest of us. We’ll continue the trend of lows in the 70s, and highs will be in the low 90s.

Saturday and Sunday will be near 90 degrees. Rain chances have increased to 50% both days, and there’s a chance that it might be even higher than that.

Monday will start off the next work week with more low to moderate rain chances and highs still close to 90.

Tuesday’s rain chance of 30% and high temp in the low 90s perfectly characterizes yet another day in the SE U.S.

Wednesday will keep around low rain chances and temperatures in the upper 80s for a majority of the area.

Concerning the Tropics, models have been pointing to a potential tropical system in the Gulf of Mexico late next week and/or over the weekend. If you have plans for the beach, make sure to keep checking with us for the latest on the Tropics especially at the start of next week.
