WDHN Storm Team: Mainly dry this weekend, better rain chances next week

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — After the showers and storms earlier today, we’ll be drier the rest of the evening and tonight. Partly cloudy skies and the additional moisture from the rain will keep our temperatures in the low 70s tonight and tomorrow morning.

Saturday and Sunday will both be in the upper 80s and low 90s. The warmest spots will be the places that don’t see any rain. Those that catch a shower either day will quickly drop into the upper 70s and probably rebound into the low 80s if the shower is brief. Saturday will be the drier of the 2 days with only a 20% chance for showers, so plan on doing your outdoor activities Saturday if possible.

The start of our next work week should bring an even better chance for showers and storms at 60%. Temperatures will start near 70 and only move into the middle 80s on Monday.

Tuesday and Wednesday have slowly decreasing rain chances and slowly increasing temperatures.

Thursday should be a drier day, but the chance for rain is still there. Highs will be closer to 90 as we drop the rain chance to 20%.

Friday also has a 20% chance for rain, and highs will be in the low 90s.
