WDHN Storm Team: Nicholas to bring rain to the Tri-State

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — The dry weather was nice while it lasted, but that comes to an end tomorrow. Temperatures will be in the low 70s tonight and each night this week.

Wednesday-Friday will all be fairly rainy with a 70-80% chance for rain each day. While rain will be likely throughout the day and even at night, the good news is that flooding and severe weather chances are almost at 0%. Waterspouts will be possible along the coastal portions of the Panhandle, but tornadoes are not expected in the Tri-State. Rain totals should top out around 2-3 inches over the 3 day period. High temperatures will be confined to the low and middle 80s.

The weekend doesn’t look dry, but it shouldn’t be nearly as rainy as the preceding days. We’ll keep a 50% chance for rain in the forecast both days. Another .5-1″ of rain will be possible over the weekend. High temperatures will remain in the middle 80s.

We’ll start off the next work week with a 40% chance for rain Monday and Tuesday. High temperatures should finally return to the upper 80s.
