DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Our extended stretch of wet weather will continue today with widespread showers and storms expected once again. These showers and storms will likely be slow-moving in nature, so they will be efficient rainfall producers capable of flash flooding in spots. A couple of them could also be on the strong side with gusty winds. Highs will be on the cool side in the mid to upper 80s thanks to an abundance of clouds and a high coverage of rain and storms.

Friday will feature more of the same as rain chances stay high around 70%. We’ll begin the morning mild in the low 70s and again top out in the mid and upper 80s.

The weekend should be a bit drier with a little bit more in the way of sunshine! Rain chances will be around 40% on Saturday and 50% on Sunday. Highs will creep up a couple degrees to just shy of the 90 degree mark.

Rain chances will go back up to 60% on Monday. We’ll warm up to the upper 80s from the low 70s before showers and storms develop during the PM hours.

Tuesday and Wednesday will both feature hit-or-miss rain chances right around 50%. Highs will likely return to the low 90s while lows remain in the 70s.
