WDHN Storm Team: Showers ending tonight, toasty Saturday ahead!

DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Today will be warm once again with temperatures in the upper 60s. Areas of fog will be possible.

Saturday will have a warm front lift north of the Wiregrass; therefore, the best rain chances will be off to our north. An isolated shower is possible but very unlikely. With dry conditions and some extra peeks of sunshine, we expect to be in the middle and upper 80s!

Sunday still has a 50% chance for a line of storms that could be on the strong side. We have a marginal risk for a damaging wind gust or two for the northern Wiregrass. Those storms will probably be here in the evening and overnight hours. Temperatures will be in the low 80s.

Monday has a 50% chance of catching some showers and storms if the boundary lines up over our area and just sits there. High temperatures are expected to be around 70 degrees. The more rain we get, the lower those high temps will be.

Tuesday has a 30% chance for showers, and temperatures will warm up into the upper 70s.

Wednesday has a 20% chance for showers during the day. Temperatures are expected to hang right around 80 degrees. A cold front is expected to move through Wednesday night into Thursday morning which will give us a low rain chance overnight and a 20% chance in the morning.

Thursday looks to be mostly dry besides those morning showers. If that cold front can finally manage to actually pass all the way through the Tri-State (unlike the one from today), then we will have highs in the 60s and lows in the 40s from Thursday through the weekend! Thursday’s high of 68 will likely come in the early morning hours and drop throughout the day.

Friday appears to be chilly with a morning start of 40 and afternoon high in the low 60s.
