DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Expect more showers tonight with temperatures in the low to middle 70s.
We’re ending the week with the same setup as the past couple of days, so more wet weather is on the way. Whether it’s a wet field from showers earlier in the day or if there’s rain during the game, the wet weather will likely impact our football games Friday night. Temperatures will be in the middle 80s during the afternoon and drop to the 70s during the evening.
Saturday and Sunday still have at least a 60% chance for wet weather as scattered showers and storms continue to move across the Tri-State. Highs will once again be in the low to middle 80s.
Monday has a 50% chance for rain with a high temperature in the middle 80s. A little sunshine might finally find its way back to the Wiregrass by this point.
Tuesday’s 40% chance for rain will allow our highs to move back to the middle and upper 80s.
Wednesday should bring us our first taste of a “drier” day with only a 30% chance for rain right now. Temperatures will start in the low 70s like the previous days and peak in the middle and upper 80s.
Thursday might be the day we’ve all been waiting for as a cold front passes across the eastern half of the U.S. This cold front has the potential of reaching deep into the Southeast and should bring us mostly clear skies, dry air, and tank our temperatures to more “fall-like” expectations.
