DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Tonight will be a chilly one! We’ve got freeze warnings in effect for SE AL and SW GA from midnight to 7 AM Wednesday. Frost advisories are in place for the same time frame for folks in south central AL and for much of the FL Panhandle. Bring in those fragile plants and your precious pets tonight!
Wednesday morning will start off in the middle 30s for most, but low 30s will be possible for some areas. You might even need to scrape off some frost from your windshield if you’re heading to work early in the morning! Highs will return to the low 60s with lots of sunshine expected.
Thanksgiving Day should be a more seasonable day with lows around 40 degrees and highs in the upper 60s. It won’t last long because another cold front is expected to move through on Friday.
Morning temperatures on Friday will be warm with most places starting in the 50s. There’s a 20 – 30% chance for showers during the morning hours, but the second half of the day looks drier after the cold front moves through. Afternoon temperatures might only be in the middle and upper 50s especially if the cold front moves through extremely early.
The weekend will be on the cool side with lows in the 30s and low 40s and highs in the low to middle 60s.
Monday and Tuesday look mainly sunny with lows in the low 40s and highs still in the low to middle 60s.
