DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Another cool night is just ahead of us, and then it’s all eyes on the weekend!
Saturday will be looking good and feeling great with sunny skies and highs around 80 degrees. Get out and enjoy it if you can!
Sunday will be mostly sunny with lows in the 50s one last time before moisture builds into the region on Monday. Sunday’s high of 83 will still feel fairly comfortable because of the lower humidity with dew points in the low 50s.
Monday should start off in the low 60s and top out in the middle 80s. Our dew points will be in the 60s, so it won’t be as comfortable as Sunday.
Tuesday – Thursday all have a 20% chance for rain right now as hit or miss showers speckle the Southeast U.S. with mainly light to moderate rain at times. Morning lows will be in the middle 60s and afternoon highs should peak in the middle or upper 80s.
Friday is in question because of a potential tropical system that might form in the Gulf of Mexico. While not of great concern at this moment, it’s something we’ll monitor over the weekend and throughout early portion of next week. We’ll have more answers on this specific situation by Monday. For now, expect highs in the 80s and continued low rain chances.
