DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — After the showers and storms that rolled through this evening, we’ll start drying out for the rest of the night.
Wednesday and Thursday both have a 50% chance for rain. Temperatures will start in the low 70s and move into the middle and upper 80s.
Friday looks like the rainiest day of the week with a 70% chance for rain. A line of showers and storms will move across the SE U.S. on Friday. The line will most likely move into our area during the evening and overnight hours.
After Friday, models start to disagree with each other. One model bring our rain chances down significantly on Saturday and Sunday. Another model suggests we will have quite a bit of rain in terms of coverage both days this weekend. With that said, we’ll need to keep a very close eye on the weekend weather because of all the outdoor celebrations planned for the 4th of July. Rain chances will be placed at 50% for both Saturday and Sunday right now, but a lot can change in the coming days. Temperatures both days will likely be in the middle 80s.
Monday and Tuesday will start off the week with another moderate rain chance as temperatures remain in the middle 80s.
