DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Friday night football will be drier than previously thought, but a few showers will still be possible tonight. Temperatures will but in the middle and low 70s this evening and tonight with mostly cloudy skies.
Saturday and Sunday still have at least a 60-70% chance for wet weather as scattered showers and storms continue to move across the Tri-State. Highs will once again be in the low to middle 80s.
Monday has a 60% chance for rain with a high temperature in the middle 80s. A little sunshine might finally find its way back to the Wiregrass by this point.
Tuesday’s 50% chance for rain will allow our highs to move back to the middle and upper 80s.
Wednesday should be our last chance for rain next week. The 40% chance for showers will drop significantly as the front passes through during the evening hours. Temperatures will start in the low 70s like the previous days and peak in the middle and upper 80s.
Thursday will likely be the day we’ve all been waiting for as a cold front passes across the eastern half of the U.S. This cold front should reach deep into the Southeast and bring us mostly clear skies, dry air, and tank our temperatures to more “fall-like” expectations. Lows will start in the low and middle 60s with highs only making it to about 80 degrees.
Friday will be very similar to Thursday: morning lows in the low 60s, highs right around 80, and sunny skies all around the Southeast!
