DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN)– We have seen scattered showers and thunderstorms across the Wiregrass over the last few days but we have not seen a widespread rain event in almost a month. This in combination with a very hot summer has put parts of the southern Wiregrass in a moderate drought. The bad news is our rain chances are expected to go down even more as we go through the weekend and next week.
The good news is the weather is going to be nice and we do not have to deal with any hot weather for the foreseeable future. We might hit 90 degrees as we get closer to the beginning of your work week but with an average temperature of 89 degrees for this time of year, it should not be unbearable.
I want everyone to have a great weekend, thanks for watching, and for more information watch us on WDHN.
