DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — A low-end chance for a shower or two will continue through midnight. After that, we’ll be dry and mild as we only fall into the low and mid 70s. With some clearing expected overnight, areas of patchy fog will likely develop close to sunrise.

Tomorrow will be another hot and humid one as we once again rise into the low 90s for highs. Partly cloudy skies can be expected along with a 20% chance for showers during the afternoon.

For much of the upcoming work week, we’ll ping-pong between 30-40% for rain chances. Outside of that, the big story will be rising temperatures thanks to a mid-level ridge that will be building in over the Southeast. We’ll keep highs in the low 90s on Monday before we climb into the mid 90s Tuesday through Friday. In addition to these very warm temperatures, we’ll see heat index values/feels like temps in the triple digits every day. With all this in mind, make sure to drink plenty of water, seek shade, and take frequent breaks if you’re planning on going outdoors on any of these days! Lows will remain in the 70s.

We’ll keep this hot weather around into next weekend. Saturday will feature a 20% chance for showers with lows in the mid 70s and highs in the mid to potentially upper 90s. Once again, feels like temperatures will be in the triple digits area-wide; same goes as the days above: make sure to stay hydrated, take frequent breaks, and seek shade if you’re going to be outdoors for an extended period of time!
