DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) — Widespread showers and storms can be expected today. Some storms could be on the strong side with gusty winds and heavy rain at times. Abundant cloud cover and rain will help keep our high temperatures pinned to the mid and upper 80s.
Friday will be similarly wet with an 80% chance for showers and storms, the majority of which will come during the PM hours. If you’re heading out for the first week of Friday night football, plan on bringing rain gear, as some of these showers and storms will likely carry into the early part of the evening at least. We’ll rise from the low 70s up to the mid and upper 80s once again.
Saturday will be another fairly rainy day with a 60% chance for afternoon showers and storms. Highs will remain below average in the upper 80s.
Rain chances will drop off to 50% for Sunday through Wednesday as the frontal boundary currently in place lifts back to the north. Expect highs in the upper 80s to low 90s and lows in the 70s each day as temperatures remain cool despite fewer showers and storms.
