The expected cold front will move our area later this afternoon or early morning- no change to what we expect today- about 0.25 inch of rain on average for many of us, with isolated thunder; the strong to severe thunderstorm is still expected in northern Alabama & northwestern Georgia…

A sunny, cooler weekend with highs near the mid 70s & cool lows near 50…

Clouds increase by Monday afternoon with high temps Monday & Tuesday to be 77 to 81, BUT a cold front will push through during the day Wednesday; there will be about 20 to 30% rain chances Tue & Wed, then possibly close to a 40% rain chance Thursday as cooler weather moves in; high temps Wed likely in the low to mid 70s then upper 60s on Thursday & lower 60s next Friday Mar 10…

Between March 10 to 17, overnight lows should consistently in the 30s or 40s with high temps in the 50s! – a big change from our recent weather, but we have alerted you to this for several weeks now; we could also have one or two periods of heavy rain during the Mar 10-17 period…

In fact, between Mar 11 to 18, there could be an intense low pressure system crossing the northern Gulf & with colder air already in place in our area, mixed precipitation could be in our forecast in that time period – the forecast weather models are just now focusing on such a strong Gulf system, so stay tuned over the next several days…
