HARTFORD, Ala. (WDHN) — We have the results of Hartford’s wet/dry referendum to allow alcohol sales.

A total of 334 yes votes, in other words, those who support the sale of alcohol within city limits. Those who opposed the sale of alcoholic beverages registered only 69 total votes.

Meaning the city of Hartford will allow alcohol sales for the first time ever.

A total of 403 votes were cast in the election, a small percentage of the 1,800 eligible voters. However, a statement was made by residents wanting to see alcohol sales’ tax revenues coming to Hartford for the first time in that city’s 100-plus years of incorporation.
