HENRY COUNTY, Ala. (WDHN) — The Republican runoff race for Henry County’s District 2 commissioner has been decided. John Ralph Saunders has won the race.

Saunders currently has 51.25% of the vote. Jason Burke garnered 48.76%. Around 94% of the total votes are in as provisional ballots are still being counted.

In a statement, Saunders says,

“I would like to thank the voters of Henry County District 2 for their prayers and support during this election cycle, I am humbled by the results and thank each and everyone who took the time to vote today.”
